At the core of our youth ministry is the understanding that in the grand scheme of things, students spend a short amount of time with us. But, it is during this time that some of the most important decisions of their lives are made - i.e. salvation, college, career, relationships, etc.
Because of this, we are firmly committed to giving them the truth of the gospel and faithfully teaching them the Word of God every week. Along with that, our adult ministry team seeks to lead our youth to develop spiritual disciplines that will last long after they graduate - quiet time, scripture memory and prayer. We also desire to give them opportunities to live out their faith with the understanding that their faith journey is a lifestyle. This lifestyle includes having eyes to see those that God puts in their path every day who need Christ.
While many ministries today focus on entertainment and the outer man, we start with the inside (the roots).
You must start with the roots to have a healthy tree. For a person to be continually made more like God, the work must be done on the inside by the Spirit and through the renewing of the mind through the Word of God.
We also understand that the parent is the primary spiritual influence for any teenager and as such we desire to support and provide resources to assist them.
Our youth ministry is not for those looking for a babysitting service or flashy entertainment. If you are looking for a ministry that is committed to training "Champions for Christ," then our ministry is for you! And, we promise there will certainly be a lot of fun!
For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
I Corinthians 1:18
Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude. See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ. Colossians 2:6-8

bible fellowship
We have a Family Breakfast each Sunday from 9:00-9:30 am in the Fellowship Hall. Parents are encouraged to join your teens and younger children are welcome too! At 9:40, we break into age graded classes for lesson time. But, this time has been built to give us flexibility to have many different opportunities - from large group teaching to video lessons to guys/girls breakout lessons to outreach projects. Our adult ministry team serves as small group leaders, investing in the students week to week.
