Women

Oak View Baptist Church is committed to the Biblical view of the local congregation which includes members supporting one another in love for spiritual growth and sanctification. To accomplish that goal the women’s ministry committee is providing opportunities for prayer, Bible study, fellowship and service. Each lady in our congregation is encouraged to participate at whatever level she deems appropriate for her needs and limitations. Our desire is to build multigenerational relationships through which God is glorified by Christlike actions and attitudes.

A Study by Kelly Minter
In the midst of hardship, tragedy, and unanswered questions, it’s difficult to glimpse God at work. How do we hold onto our faith during these times? How do we trust God is working all things for our good and His glory? Over 8 sessions, trace the path of Joseph’s life in the Book of Genesis to observe how God’s sovereignty reigns, even in our darkest moments. Learn to recognize when God is working during periods of waiting, trust God’s plan when life doesn’t make sense, and rest in the sufficiency of His presence in every circumstance. His provision is enough, His presence is constant, and His purpose is unstoppable.

Leader: Kim Barrow

Meets Monday Evenings at 6:30pm starting September 11.

To desire revival… and at the same time to neglect (personal) prayer and devotion is to wish one way and walk another.”

Ladies of all ages are welcome to attend Women on Missions at Oak View Baptist Church. We meet together on the first Tuesday of the month. Our purpose is to learn more about mission opportunities in our area and abroad, to pray for local and international missionaries, and to come together as sisters in Christ in fellowship. We provide avenues to show and share Christ's love with those around us within our church family and within our own community.

Some of the projects that we have been involved in are:
*Christmas baskets and birthday bags for the shut-ins within our church membership
*Annual blood drive
*Red Box Christmas Ministry to the women within the NC Correctional prisons
*Diaper Drive for the New Life Family Outreach in High Point
