Robert Murphey - Youth pastor
Robert has been the youth pastor since April 9, 2000. He grew up at Oak View, having attended since he was 1, and was part of the OVBC youth group. During his sophomore year at Campbell University, he started working with the youth and then graduated from John Wesley College in 2004. He also directed the OVBC sound ministry from 1997-2016 and currently directs our Sunday service online stream and is the facilities manager. His hobbies include spending time at High Rock Lake and announcing basketball at Wesleyan Christian Academy as well as football at High Point Central High School and T. Wingate Andrews, where he is also a member of the Athletic Hall of Fame. He is a huge sports fan, starting with the Carolina Tar Heels and including the Chicago Cubs, Atlanta Braves, Washington Redskins, Carolina Panthers and Los Angeles Clippers. His life verse is Acts 20:24.
